Moot Court Competition

Sir L. A. Shah Law College every year organizes Inter Collegiate Moot Court Competition in the memory of eminent Advocate Shri I. M. Nanavati. On 11th January 2014 the college organized Late Shri I. M. Nanavati Inter Law Collegiate Moot Court Competition inviting all the law colleges affiliated to the Gujarat University. Six Law Colleges have participated and the group of students from all the law colleges was invited to view the Moot Court Competition. Hon’ble Mr. Justice S. H. Vora, Judge, High Court of Gujarat and Hon’ble Mr. Justice G. R. Udhwani, Judge, High Court of Gujarat were invited as the Judges at the above competition. Ms. Neha Vyas, student of Sir L. A. Shah Law College was declared as the Second Best Speaker of the competition and was awarded a prize.

Student of the College Niar Abhilash has won the rotating trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 700/- by securing the First position at Inter Collegiate Swami Vivekanand Elocution Competition organized by S. M. Patel Institute of Commerce on 11th January 2014 on the subject “The Indian Youth Today Useless or Used Less”.

He also participated at the Extempore Competition organized by Sri Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sangh Shivanand Ashram on 16-2-2014 and won the first prize – Cash Prize of Rs. 1001/- .

Special Lecture of Mr. Edward Alden, Bernard L. Schwartz Senior Fellow Council On Foreign Relations on the subject “Attracting and retaining skilled migrants and American competitiveness, trade and immigration.”
